About the event

Welcoming you to a beautiful small group gong journey, offering you the chance to be transported with the gong into deep rest and meditation in more intimate environment of a smaller studio with fewer participants.

A 90 minute experience of relaxation and gong meditation with time to gently return to daily life through quiet rest with herbal tea. All set in the most beautiful venue in 17 acres close to Wissett, Halesworth.

Occasionally people find the mixed energies of larger groups a more vulnerable environment to experience gong meditation and indeed I, myself have always preferred solo or small group gongs. I therefore am now offering these gong baths in an intimate setting where spaces are more limited in order to enable access to gong baths for a wider range of people. These gong baths are suitable for all adults but may be particularly helpful for those who are searching for a softer, more connected, slower and/or more intimate environment. There are a maximum of three participants in these sessions and they are slow, connected and gentle. There is time at the beginning to land in the space together, followed by a gong meditation and then gentle self guided rest with herbal tea. This allows participants to reconnect with their body more slowly before stepping back into every day life and also to allow the powerful vibrations of the gong time to integrate.

Unlike the larger group gongs, these gong baths also provide everything you need including blankets, comfy matresses, pillows and eye pillows so all you need to bring is you, comfy clothes and a water bottle.

What will happen?

You are invited to sit or lie in a comfortable position and begin to sink into your body through guided meditation. This is followed by an immersion in the transformative soundscape of gongs, singing bowls and other grounding instruments to bring balance to body, mind and soul.

Gong baths are associated with deep relaxation by activating the parasympathetic nervous system bringing you into a state of rest and digest. Many people experience feelings of deep peace, balance, and calm whilst others feel grounded, focused or energised. Gong meditation is associated with dropping people into theta and delta brainwaves (those associated with sleep) and therefore many people can experience sleepiness, drowsiness and the letting go of anxiety, stress or tension. The restorative benefits of sleep are well-documented and the dropping into these brain states is thought to explain why, for many, the benefits of gong baths are so powerful.

Occasionally, people may feel emotional during or following a gong bath as our vibrations and energies shift and change. This is normal and feelings of discomfort often change and ease with the changing sounds.

The journey with the gong will be channelling the 'highest good' to bring you the sounds which are right for you and all that is required is an openess to receiving these sounds.

What do I need to bring?

A cosy nest including padded matress, blankets and pillow is provided so you only need to bring warm, comfy clothing, a water bottle and anything else you feel you need to be comfortable accessing the space.

Who is this not suitable for?

Gong meditation is not suitable for early pregnancy, people experiencing severe mental health conditions or sound induced epilepsy. Those with metal implants, pace makers, heart conditions, vertigo and sound sensitivities are advised to seek medical advice prior to attending a gong bath. Some people who use hearing aids or devices may find gong sound uncomfortable. Your comfort is key, if you have difficulty lying on the floor for 60-90 minutes, please contact me to discuss alternative options.

Whilst all participants are asked to fill in a risk questionairre, I am not a medical professional and participants attend at their own risk and taking full responsbility for their own health and wellbeing.

If you are uncertain whether to attend, please consult a medical professional prior to booking.

This is an adult only event. Please see website for children/young people events or to book and adult/child private session.

Concessions

It is my aim to make gong sessions as inclusive as possible and whilst the fee for the session reflects the quality, length and location of the gong bath, I am aware that in a challenging economic climate, this may be out of reach for some. If you would like to attend but are unable to pay the full cost, I often offer a limited number of partially or fully funded spaces. Please contact me to book.
