Our Story
Path Uncertain is a gradual unfolding. It, like life, is not fixed. Like water, it is ever shifting, flowing and moving. It is both winding down ancient channels and carving new paths from soft soil. It is not one thing but many, both juxtaposition and complementary and if it were not all of these things then it would not be anything at all.
Why? Because my own uncertainty; the need for the perfect vision, would forever have kept it an unplanted seed. Instead, Path Uncertain grew from a poem; a poem written by David Wagoner named Lost. The words spoke deeply to me and for the first time in a long time I listened. What I heard was this; even the lost are somewhere. None of us are fully formed, even the most sure-footed travellers are still treading paths which may yet weave an unknown way for them. I knew then, the way wasn't a plan, it was one small action; plant the seed, watch it grow, let the colour and shape be a surprise.
Path Uncertain is the acknowledgment that the way ahead is not set but that, that in itself is a gift. Its aim is to offer us the opportunity to lean our sails into the wind and go where the ocean is calling us. To stand in our own light, arriving as we are and stepping lightly, softly and gently; the way the sunrise rests on a spiders web. To be autumn in summer or spring in winter. Your own seasons, in your own way without judgement. Path Uncertain is nature, gong, writing, connection, silence and stillness.
I've set out on my path uncertain, What a gift it would be to walk beside you on yours.
